Day 8 of Christmas Reflections-

Write: about the significance of at least one of your holiday décor.

The ornaments in our home are very special to me.  Many of them are from my childhood, some from Jonathans, and now my children’s childhood.  My parents gave each child an ornament for Christmas and we have carried on the same tradition.  We also have pictures on our trees that represent so many memories for our family.

Day 236

Our good friend here in Arkansas sent home a part of her Christmas Village with each of the kids.  They have loved looking at it, and thinking about having it when they leave and start their own holiday traditions.

Remember:  In who’s homes do you remember feeling warm, loved and welcome during the holidays.

My grandparents made the holidays so special.  I looked forward to the time we would spend with both sets of grandparents during the holidays.  We would spend Christmas Eve with my maternal grandparents, and the have Christmas dinner with my paternal.  It was all magical.  I loved being with my cousins.  I loved all the food, and the traditions.  They always made an effort to come and see what Santa left for us.  Neither of my grandparents had a large home, but it always felt so warm and welcoming to whomever came.
