Day 3 of Christmas Reflections-

Write: Read the article “Home for the Holidays!” and write your thoughts.

I love this line from the article: “A welcoming holiday home. To have one, we must refurnish our heart, not our house!”

It is so true that we should look less at our furnishings; carpets, furniture, and dishes, and more on what we can do to make our feel warm and inviting.  I believe that the warmth starts within our hearts.

In our home I love the warmth from the sunlight that streams through our open windows.  This time of year can seem to be a little depressing when it turns off cold.  I chose not to put any blinds on our windows in the living area just for that reason.  I wanted all the light that could to come in.

You can also find the warmth when you walk in and see the many projects going on.  The kid’s might be coloring, building something, and my hot glue gun is on trying to fix something.  I get warm feelings inside when we are creating.

day 231

I just had to take a picture of the sunrise.  The sun is out today which means the warmth is coming through the windows.

Remember: Do you remember making any specific recipe with family members?

There were a few Christmas’s when I was a kid that my parents made a candy cane braid out of bread.  They made one for all neighbors.  It took them several nights to make them all, but I remember them doing it together.
